WHO WE ARE
The Women's Football Federation of India (WFFI) was established to govern, promote, and develop women's football at every level — from grassroots community programmes to elite national competitions.
As the sole federation dedicated exclusively to the women's game in India, WFFI operates through a network of 28 affiliated state associations and over 150 district bodies, ensuring that every region of the country has structured access to coaching, competition, and development pathways.
The federation is headquartered in New Delhi and functions under a constitution adopted by its General Body, with governance structures that include an Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Referee Board, Disciplinary Committee, and Legal Committee.

OUR MANDATE
Govern
Establish and enforce rules, regulations, and competition standards for women's football across India. Oversee player registration, club licensing, referee accreditation, and disciplinary proceedings with full transparency.
Promote
Increase visibility and participation in women's football through national championships, state leagues, media partnerships, and community outreach. Break barriers and create opportunities for women and girls to play the beautiful game.
Develop
Build talent pathways from district-level academies to national team selection. Invest in coaching education, sports science, infrastructure development, and age-group competition frameworks to nurture the next generation.
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
WFFI operates through a multi-tiered governance model that connects the national headquarters with state and district-level football bodies. This structure ensures that decisions made at the top are implemented effectively at the grassroots level, and that voices from the ground inform policy at the national level.
General Body
The supreme authority comprising representatives from all affiliated state associations. Meets annually to approve budgets, elect office bearers, and set the strategic direction of the federation.
Executive Committee
Elected officials — including the President, Vice Presidents, General Secretary, and Treasurer — who manage the federation's policies, operations, and strategic execution between General Body sessions.
State Associations
28 affiliated state-level bodies that govern women's football within their jurisdictions, organise state leagues, and serve as the bridge between district bodies and the national federation.
District Bodies
Over 150 district football committees organising local leagues, talent identification camps, and grassroots programmes. The foundation of women's football development in India.
