OUR VISION
"To make women's football a leading sport in India — accessible, respected, and celebrated from every village pitch to the national stadium."
WFFI envisions a future where women's football is woven into the fabric of Indian sport. A future where girls grow up seeing football as a viable, honourable path — whether as players, coaches, referees, administrators, or sports scientists.
We believe in football's power to transform communities, build confidence, promote health, and advance gender equality. Our vision is not just about matches and trophies — it is about creating a movement that uplifts half the nation's population through the beautiful game.
Equity First
Every programme, policy, and competition is designed with gender equity as a foundational principle — not an afterthought.
Nationwide Access
Football development must reach every state, district, and community — urban and rural alike. No region left behind.
OUR MISSION
The Women's Football Federation of India is committed to six strategic pillars that guide every decision, investment, and initiative undertaken by the federation and its affiliated bodies.
Grassroots Development
Establish district-level coaching centres across all 28 states. Introduce football to government schools. Run talent scouting camps in underserved areas. Make the game the first choice for girls.
Competition Excellence
Organise structured national championships at U-14, U-17, U-21, and Senior levels. Create a professional women's league with broadcast partnerships and club licensing standards.
Coaching Education
Train 10,000 licensed coaches for women's football by 2030. Develop India-specific coaching curricula. Ensure every state has certified instructors for youth and elite levels.
Governance & Integrity
Maintain transparent, accountable, and democratic governance. Publish annual reports. Enforce anti-corruption, anti-discrimination, and fair-play policies at every level.
Infrastructure
Advocate for dedicated women's football facilities. Partner with state governments for pitch development. Ensure safe, well-maintained training grounds in every zone.
Visibility & Advocacy
Amplify women's football through media coverage, digital platforms, and community events. Change perceptions. Inspire the next generation through role models and storytelling.
DEVELOPMENT GOALS
by coaching programmes by 2028
to be trained by 2030
with active participation
These targets are tracked through annual progress reports published by the federation and reviewed during General Body sessions. State associations submit quarterly development updates that feed into a national dashboard, ensuring accountability and transparent progress tracking.
